Liwonde National Park offers a wide range of wildlife species such as Lion, Elephant, Crocodile, African Fish Eagle and Sable Antelope.

In the area around Mvuu Safari Camp occur Elephant and Sable Antelope in large number. Hippo, Impala, Crocodile and Waterbuck are also seen frequently. Different animal species have been reintroduced from the world-renowned Kruger National Park in South Africa.
Mvuu Camp is a spectacular bird watching area as African Fish Eagle, African Skimmer, Pel's Fishing Owl and Palmnut Vulture are fairly common. Among the specials are Lilian's Lovebird, Bohm's Beeeater, Livingstone's Flycatcher, Whitebacked Night Heron, Brownbreasted Barbet and Bat Hawk.
All game drives and bush walks on this Malawi safari are accompanied by qualified and experienced safari guides. A special at Mvuu Camp is a superb river cruise where guest may get close to Crocodile, Hippo and amazing birdlife. With special permission, it is always possible to visit the Rhino sanctuary in the Liwonde National Park, which also boasts Liechtenstein's Hartebeest and Buffalo.
