Kaya Mawa Lodge is situated on the southern tip of this car-free island surrounded by Mango Trees and fine golden beaches. This Malawi lodge was built by hand of Mahogany, Teak and other natural materials with the help of the local Malawian community.
Malawi is one of the least known countries in Central Southern Africa and borders Zambia, Tanzania and Mozambique. Locally Malawi is known as the warm heart of Africa. Dominated by Lake Malawi, the country provides untouched beaches, tropical freshwater species and crystal clear waters.
Likoma Island is the larger of two islands in the northern region of Lake Malawi and, since its discovery, remains almost untouched. The island as well as Kaya Mawa Lodge offer breathtaking views of the mountains and wilderness of Mozambique.
